butt fuck nowhere...

but, at least your friends are along for the ride...

sitting here. drinking the latest seasonal from New Belgium, the good people who supply we the drinking public with Fat Tire, it's called Biere De Mars. it's fantastic. literally translated as, beer of march, it is so nice and easy to drink. i'm working on becoming a beer reviewer. i need to get more descriptive.
anyways...

it's horrible, but today i was listening to tom lykis and he made a good point. to get an idea of who we are all we need to do is add up the parts of our friends. your friends reflect you. now, this could be good and bad. but, let's focus on the good. my friends LOVE to dance. i love to dance. my friends are quite fond of talking about politics. i've grown very fond of talking about politics. my friends like good beer, for the most part. i LOVE good beer. my friends are very intelligent and all have college degrees, for the most part. i'm working on finishing up my masters, the jury is still out on my intelligence. my friends all love music. i wouldn't even speak to you if you didn't like music. (i still have a hard time with bobanna not liking the smashing pumpkins...not even ONE SONG of theirs bobanna!!!???...(sigh)) my friends are very thoughtful and have great views on life and appriciate the arts. that's pretty much all of me. i'm always reflecting on life and i only wish i could dedicate MORE time to my love of the arts. i guess the whole point of this is to let you all know that i'm very grateful that i have such wonderful friends. all of the things that i likened you to myslef are not only ways that i think you are my friends, but ways that i like to see myslef. it's all a very postive thing. we are the final gasp of generation X, the generation that is supposed to save the world. and i believe that it's people like us that will make a difference when it's our turn to take over running the nation. we had a lot of the hate from earlier generations beaten out of us, but we also had some of the ultra-hippiness reasoned out of us as well. we are a good balance now. i'm just glad the\at my friends are people that make me feel good about where the world is going...however delusional that feeling might be. if the world goes down in flames i'll be in good company when it happens, and we'll all be laughing at the idiots that made it happen...

so, the student teaching continues to go well. i'm going to be all by myself tomorrow. my cooperating teacher has a workshop to attend and i'm not invited this time. i'll have a sub with me, but i've been told i can tell her to go do other stuff. my cooperating teacher said that i can handle the kids better than she can anyway. my confidence is growing little by little.

well, i might be heading back to the emerald city this weekend. i don't know if i have plans on sunday night yet (i have no school on monday and i hear that another b-day party is about to happen), but i do know that i'll probably come up sometime on saturday to just "be" in seattle. we, our little internet family, should get together this weekend. of course, i say this when bobanna says she might head up to canadia for the weekend. damn. well, i'd still like to assemble as many troops as possible for an outing on saturday night. so, clear your schedules everyone! let's kick the jet city's ass! gay dance club anyone?

ok. i'm gonna peace on out of here. i hope that this week is treating everyone well. for those of you who have the time (at work or otherwise) keep posting. we need to get more regular about this whole thing. we go in phases. we'll all be really good about it for a long time, then most of us will drop off a little. lets keep it goin'! bobanna and i are the last two to post, let's all get caught up!

i remain as always,

hopelessly devoted,

-weatherboy
