my indian summer...
here, listen to this while you read my post...it'll set the mood. :p
well, school is in session. i've started my fourth year and there's been some changes. i've taken on a auxiliary class, so i now teach six periods every day with no breaks. i also am the intramural coordinator again this year...so, i don't get a lunch period either. it'll mean some extra cash though, so that'll be nice. but, it makes for some long days!
anyways, i mention indian summer mostly because that's what fall is here in california...just an indian summer till winter, which doesn't really start till around january. that's not necessarily bad, though, since my pool looks better than it ever has...(we finally broke down and got a pool guy. i still brush and sweep it, but the chemicals and filters are no longer my worry) and the weekends still feel mostly like summer. i stopped by zuma beach in malibu a couple weekends ago and it was amazing! most of the tourists have headed home and there aren't as many people there at all! i made a mental note to make this my surfing beach, when i actually get my own board!
something else needs to be addressed...UW football. WHAT THE HELL!? we have (had, he broke his hand in the last game making a lead block) a good qb and a decent backup, WHY DO WE KEEP LOSING!!?? 0-4!!?? it's painful watching them every week! (sigh.)
anyways...that's all. i know this was a rambling post. i'm sorry. just wanted to do some catching up and vent a little. (i held back, though. i have some choice words about VP-candidate Palin...i grew up in AK and...wow, i'm glad i left.)

First the PAC-10 and NOW you don't like Sarah Palin! Seriously!! What am I going to do with you??
Also I wasn't going to mention this but did you see that Ball State has gone 5-0! They might even make the top 25 this year! Just a moment to brag because this moment may never come again and I want to remember! (You know the Ice Castle soundtrack, right?) Peace!
I think we are on the same page with UW and Palin...in fact I am sure of it.
I don't think i can even watch anymore, it is simply too painful. Coaching, that is all I am going to say...coaching. Team is down 50-9 and the coach is on the sideline bullshitting with players and staff, laughing...to me that means they don't give a shit.
