i think it's time to make the move...

i've been the anti-social guy for better than a year now...

so, i'm taking off. i think that i'm gonna start 'aimless meanderings' again on my new Myspace online residence. the web link is: http://www.myspace.com/weatherboy
so, there it is. i'm hoping that i can get some of the loyal readers of this post to move on over to myspace as well. livejournal is good and all, but i've found myspace to be quite fun and it gives us all something to do while we hang out online. cause it's more than just a webjournal place. you can even become friends with bands from all over! i'm now friends with LePush from saturday night! it makes the world a whole lot smaller, which can be good and bad i'm sure, but it's still fun being able to see all the info on people all the time! and bobanna, you can still post quizzes and all of that good stuff! so yeah, there you go! oh yeah, it's free too. they don't make you pay more to be able to see people's profiles and stuff.

so, yeah. this last weekend was awesome. mellow. but, awesome. no monopoly, though. that's okay it's better left for a nicer, sunnier weekend. lots of good beer, good people and good music. that's kinda exactly what i was hoping for. my football team lost spectacularly to the Willamette Valley Raiders, 60-23. sad. at one point we pulled the score to within 3, but we just couldn't overtake them and we fell apart in the fourth quarter. that's okay, saturday night was the best part of the weekend anyways. pretty girls were awesome and so were the other two opening bands. that's been pretty rare this last year. good bands all the way through the night. the venue is now two for two as far as great shows. bobanna and KP came down and enjoyed the show with HEW and i, then drove home as KP had to get up and work early on sunday. goodtimes.

i finally get to jen again this week! i leave tomorrow for california to look at wedding sites. it's gonna be really fun. i get to hang out with jen and her fam down there and just chill in so-cal! i'm really looking forward to it! it's like my summer vacation! i can't wait!

oh! i've also started subbing down here. so far i've been in a seventh grade classroom and a fifth grade class. two days in a row. i'm thinking that i'll be a hot commodity here soon! (even more than usual, i mean!)

there's my update. soon i'll only be on myspace, but for now i'll leave this active so i can wean myself off of blogspot. shouldn't take long...

life is good.

but, i'm still not drinking any fucking merlot!!!

25 years and my life is still...

tryin' to get up that great big hill of hope...for a destination...

yes, 11 years later, that song finally relates to me. it's true friends, weatherboy is now a quarter of a century old. crazy, huh? do i feel that old? not really. is 25 really THAT old? doesn't seem like it. time will tell, i guess. SO, what did i accomplish in my 24th year?

well: i got my masters degree. i got engaged. yeah, that's it. but, that's a lot of stuff for one year! not too bad. this coming year i'll be getting my career going and planning a wedding...kinda. (jen'll probably do the bulk of the work on that!)

so, as far as my birthday went it was really good. i went out to a nice dinner at wild ginger with my fam (bug's included in that) and i just hung out with family all day. the night before my birthday (and into the morning of) i went out to see keane at the paramount with HEW and KT. keane kicked ass just like they did at the deck the hall ball and they introduced some new songs that are totally awesome! KT had to take off early and the night was finished by the customary trip to beths' were i drew a picture to commemorate the night and stuck it on the wall. overall it was a great birthday! i missed jen. when she's around for my birthday she always goes out of her way to make it a crazy, fun time! oh, well, i'll see her soon.

as for this weekend, i still only have confirmation from HEW that he will be coming down. Austin said something about being in the area, but i'm not sure about attendance. as i said before, all are welcome! it looks like it will be a nice weekend! call me and let me know if you're coming! it'll be a good time!

k, so i'm off. hope everyone has a great rest of the week! keep in touch and take it easy. do as little work as possible! no problem, right bobanna? :)

alright, i'm out!

it's finally over...

my year long sprint is over.

today i recieved the word that my master project has been approved. tomorrow i will go and have it professionally bound, take it up to the city u campus at Fife, have my supervisor sign it, and that's it. i'm done. i've completed my masters degree. i am now a master in teaching. and i'll have my washington state resident certification. i never thought that i'd get this far. i was one of those guys who never really thought much about life even after high school. there were times where i thought i wouldn't even make it through college. i did, barely. but, i'm proud to say that my final graduate GPA is 3.757. not too bad.

i'd like to take a moment to tell everyone who reads this that you all played a part in my sucess. it took you all to keep me sane during this academic year. if it wasn't for the bowling, karaoke, dancing, drinking, talking, and friendship, i would have had really horrible time with this year and i don't know what the outcome would have been. so, i'd like to say thank you to all of you. in my master project there is a dedication, in it i acknowledge my family and friends. i just wanted you all to know that you're in there. and that i am very thankful that you were all there this year. thank you, from the bottom of my heart.

AND, to show my thanks, and since my birthday is next week, i have a great idea for a get together! I have the house to myself from may 13th through the 15th! SO, i invite all of you to come down that weekend! come on down to OLY! come when you want! but, everyone please come! when will we have another chance like this for everyone to get together!? friday nothing really important is going on. we can hang, drink, play bocce, drink, watch tv, hit the oly bars, listen to music outside on our outdoor speakers, play porch monopoly, and drink. it will be laid back and awesome! everyone can stay the night, i have lots of room. (no work is being done on the house this time so everyone will have lots of room and the kitchen is working also, but that doesn't mean we can't grill!) saturday can be as lazy as we want. i have a football game at 1:30 (i think) in town, so everyone can go watch me play, or they can just hang out! doesn't matter. here's the BIG part of the weekend! HEW and i already have tickets to go see Pretty Girls Make Graves at the China Clipper here in Oly (i've talked about it before, it's small and awesome!) SO, i went to ticketmaster today and they have LOTS of tickets left. the show is only 8 bucks and we could all go see a kick ass show then go back to my place and do an afterparty! sunday we can all go down to steamboat annie's and get some burgers and fries and cross the street to hit some golf balls! what a kick ass weekend!

so, there's my big idea. i think it could work. i envite EVERYONE to come! bring people! all are welcome! this house has a beautiful fenced backyard so we have privacy and we have a big dog! (he's hypo-allergenic, so no problems!) so, please! come one, come all! come for as long as you like! this will be a great time! everyone get back to me on this, I MEAN IT! call me and tell me who you're bringing and when i can expect you!

alright, now i'm all excited! i can't wait till next week! jen is usually the only person who can get me excited about my birthday, but i'm getting excited about the weekend after!

"YOU'RE excited!!?? FEEL THESE NIPPLES!" (has anyone else ever seen the movie Brain Donors?)
